SOCIAL/CHANGE is a collection of selected work by Mark James_Works. An artist, designer and filmmaker.
His work includes art direction, video direction, photography, illustration and graphic design. He has designed record covers for various artists over the last 20 years. His conceptual work is inspired by a mix of popular culture and social commentary and has gained a reputation for being challenging and controversial.
He made news headlines around the world on numerous occasions with his artwork. From a football hooligan action figure in 2004, which was condemned by the FA, to his phallic chicken shop branding that went viral in 2014. He again hit the headlines in 2016 by faking a meteor falling over South Wales as part of an art installation for Cardiff Contemporary Arts Festival.
